Privacy policy
Last updated 5 October 2026
In short: the Pencil Buddy app collects nothing about you or your child. The website sets no cookies and only counts QR code scans, without knowing who scanned them.
The app
- No accounts, no ads, no analytics, no tracking. The app works offline and sends nothing to us.
- Photos you pick or take to make a coloring page are processed on your device and never uploaded. The app asks for camera and photo access only when you ask it to use them.
- Pictures from Image Playground are made by Apple on your device, under Apple's privacy policy.
- Sheets you save to My Pages stay on your device. Deleting the app deletes them.
- Printing and sharing use the standard iOS print and share screens. What you share, and where, is up to you.
The website
- No cookies, no analytics, no third-party scripts or fonts.
- QR codes on sheets. When you open pencilbuddy.com/s/…, we add one to a counter for that day, kind of sheet, country and type of device (iPhone or iPad, Android, computer). The country is looked up from your IP address at that moment; the address itself is not stored or logged. IP to country data by DB-IP.com (CC BY 4.0).
- Android waiting list. If you leave your email, we keep it with the page language and the sheet that brought you. We use it for one email, when the Android version is ready, and then delete the list. Email us and we'll remove your address at any time.
- Our server logs record page addresses and response codes, not IP addresses or browser details.
- App Store links carry a campaign label (for example, which sheet you came from) so Apple can tell us how many downloads each one brought. Apple only shows us totals.
Children
Pencil Buddy is made for parents to use with their children. It collects no data about anyone, children or adults.
